I love this lotion as it applies smooth without any stickiness. The downsides: the price. It`s so expensive for a little 50ml tube. It`s also been discontinued by Kiehls. Checked their website and duty free shops but nothing.

Hmm not so impressed! I was Kiehls fan until i discovered something else a lot cheaper (Olay's total effect). The texture is light and you onluy need a small amount for entire face. It's not very effective moisturiser - I still get redness and dry patches after several application. So i don't know why it won't moisturize my skin. Oh well...now am just using it on my neck.

I loooove this lotion! Normally I am a skin care snob and stick only to La Mer products. Since I work out every mornig I end up washing my face and using moisturizer three times a day and decided to look for a less expensive moisturizer to use at mornings pre-workout.
I tried this lotion and I was amazed. It leaves my skin ultra soft and luminous, and it makes a great base under make up.
I have ultra sensitive skin, combination (dry cheeks and oily t-zone) and rosascea prone, and this lotion never clogs my pores or makes me break out.

An okay product, but nothing special in my opinion.
Pros:
Nice texture.
Sanitary squeeze bottle.
Cons:
Expensive for a basic moisturizer.
Tomato extract contains lycopene, but this is listed near the end of the ingredient list. Nothing out of the ordinary in any respect.

This is one of the best moisturizers I've ever used. It's definitely in the expensive category but may just be worth the price! It is easily absorbed and doesn't leave my skin feeling greasing. It's just a nice consistency. Leaves my skin feeling soft and smooth.

for what it's worth, i actually love the packaging of this product. a very small bottle, and the lotion is very slippery right out of the bottle. enough so that you only need a tiny dab to do your whole face and neck. this would be awesome for travel or a makeup bag if only because of the small size of the bottle. i like the texture which is absolutely DIVINE and silky as can be. smell is very mild and doesn't make me want to die. quite often i quit using moisturizers due to bad smells etc. however, i've also read in paula's beautypedia that this is basically an average product in terms of moisturization and skin benefits. i'm sort of a paula groupie, so i probably won't buy again. for the price, i think it'll last quite a long time. but i doubt i'll repurchase.

Sadly, I will have to mess up the ratings for this product. As of late, I stopped taking oral minocycle (Antibiotic) for my acne and my face has broken out in a bunch of pimples. Sucks like butt but apparently I have to be off of it for a month before I can restart it. Anyways I have been trying EVERYTHING, spot treatments, masks, zip zapper lotions, AHA BHA , topical antibiotics and blah but nothings been able to take care of them. rather they seem aggravated and I keep breaking out more. So I decided to try this based on the reviews. Ok if this cant help my acne, thats fine, but I really hate how it made my face super greasy and shiny 15 mins after I Applied it. It also made my pores seem bigger and is giving my milia on my forehead. Yuck. Not impressed, and I will be taking it back and never repurchasing. As others have said, it is a very tiny bottle, even if its supposed to be a good amount of product its just hard to believe it since the bottles sooo small. Also I hate the packaging since it reminds me of pepper spray. I have a bottle of pepper spray (a girls gotta have some plans for self defense you know) in my room and Im always afraid Im going to put pepper spray on my face instead of the lycopene lotion since both bottles are the same size, red and black, and have very small writing on them. Who knows, Im sure they would both be equally ineffective on my skin.

I cannot live without this product... it makes my skin so healthy and so bright and SO SOFT! It's pretty pricey though, so make sure you use it sparingly (a little goes a long way). Ask for samples at a Kiehl's counter if you want to try it out first!

Very rarely do I ever consider a product "HG"... but there is no other way to describe this lotion. I LOVE it... and that's no exaggeration... really! I've been suffering from an increased amount of breakouts for the past few months (can't figure out why) particularly on my left cheek. I tend to break out each month during that time of the month but lately my breakouts have been getting out of hand.
It was driving me up the wall... I honestly was feeling very helpless and desperate... I couldn't figure out why my skin was going so crazy (esp. that darn left cheek area!) I've used countless products... lotions, creams, serums, masks, spot treatments... you name it. I even tried getting facials. Some products worked temporarily but the breakouts still persisted... nothing seemed to work for the long haul.
And then my friend introduced me to this glorious product. I used it for a few days while I was visiting her on a trip... and even in that short amount of time, my skin just felt better. As soon as I got home, I immediately went out and bought a bottle of my own. The price tag was nothing compared to the angst I've been enduring because of my volatile skin. It's been about a month now and this lotion has improved my skin like nothing else. I don't understand how it worked... but it worked! Maybe it's the lycopene or vitmain e... who knows! I have not had even one new pimple on my left cheek!!! To me, that's a miracle in itself. I will definitely be buying this lotion again and again and again.
My brother has been suffering from pretty bad breakouts... much worse than mine. I'm going to have him use this product and will report back in due time. I'm hoping it will help heal his skin like its healed mine.

I've always find myself coming back to this lotion when my skin is beat up from the abuse I occasionally put it through. When I had terrible, red dry patches all over my cheek, this lotion soothed and healed it in a matter of days. When I overdosed on benzoyl peroxide and my skin was dry, red, rough and calling out for mercy, this lotion put out the fire and gently restored it in a matter of days! I have sensitive, acne-prone skin, and it doesn't break me out at all... and my acne scars seem to heal a little faster with this too.
Lycopene supposedly fights free radicals... not sure if the lycopene in the lotion is really what's been helping my skin. I'm kind of a skeptic when it comes to all the marketing claims on cosmetic packages, but something in this lotion really does work fast at restoring my skin's harmony.
At $35 for 1.7 oz, it seems expensive, but I realized a lot of mid-higher end lotions and cremes come in 1 - 2 oz containers. The other brands just use fancier, bigger containers, so it looks like you're getting more. Plus, you only need 2-3 drops for your entire face... so the lotion can last a pretty long time. I'd definitely buy again.

I did like this face lotion when I initially bought it, but now not so much. I was using it a few months ago before I switched to the Kinerase moisturizer(which I don't like much either). I liked the texture when I first applied it. But the more I used it the more it started to make my skin feel like it was burning. It could have been the face wash at the time though. I might actually try this product again hoping for the best. :(

I've been using this moisturizer for about a month now and I have to say I'm pretty pleased. Prior to this I used Neutrogena, I had become convinced it was causing constant breakouts. I started using the Keihls and I've noticed a change for the better in my skin. The overall tone and texture seem improved. And i've noticed a great decrease in the number of breakouts i've been having and the ones I do have go away and heal fairly quickly.

I have been using this on and off for a couple of years. I always go back to it! It's my old-stand-by that I KNOW will give me moisture and NEVER break me out! I think it evens out my skin-tone and gives me more radiant skin, but because it's not dramatic, I tend to keep trying others for a more dramatic effect. What I've been doing recently is using this in the am - it absorbs nicely for use under a TM or foundation, and then using a wrinkle cream for pm. I'll let you know when I find that great wrinkle cream that doesn't break me out.

If you dry or combo aging skin you cannot go wrong with this moisturizer. It seems greasy at first but sinks in right away and leaves your skin so soft and dewy.
If you are looking for a night cream to use over retinoids, like I do, this is great.

I'm absolutely thrilled with this product! I have *never* been able to use moisturizer because it always makes me an oil slick, breaks me out or somehow messes with the balance of my skin. But Kiehl's Lycopene has made me a convert. This product is now officially the most important product in my skincare arsenal. When I apply it before bed, I wake up the next morning with baby soft, glowing, healthy skin. My pores are minimized, my skintone is even and my spots dissapear. Yes, there is a moisturizer out there that MAKES YOUR ZITS GO AWAY! I have gotten so many compliments since I started using this and even though its expensive, I believe it's worth it because you won't have to spend a fortune on multiple products. You only need Kiehl's Lycopene to make your skin look great.
The lotion is not greasy at all and absorbs instantly into the skin. I only use this at nighttime, ever other night. I would highly recommend this product for people with normal or oily skin. It is definately a worthwhile investment and my HG!

Probably the best moisturizer I have ever used. I never need to use a lot, and it makes my skin nice and plump. I previously used day and night creams from Elemis and they were awful, so when I tried this moisturizer, it really gave my skin the boost it needed. The lotion is great for summer and I use the Lycopene cream in the winter.

I absolutely love this lotion and would recommend it to anyone. I used to use the cream as a moisturizing mask, and I still do, but once I started on the lotion I have been hooked. I have found it to be especially effective on skin lightly moist from cleaning. (I use cerave cream cleanser.) I have dry skin that nonetheless still breaks out occasionally, and since using this I have not had a break out for a month. I love it and I actually think it smells pleasant.

I hate to write a bad review on what I think is a good product. I think it is slightly too greasy for me as I have oly skin, albeit one which is easily irritated.
The texture is medium-weight, a normal lotion and it didn't do much for me but I suspect it may actually be a great moisturiser on normal or slightly oily skins. If you liked Ultra Facial Moisturizer, you will like this if you are looking for some antioxidants in your moisturizer to prevent premature aging. They are of the same texture, and even contains the same major ingredients as they are built on the same "base".
